Default JDM GSR in 92 DX hatch VS. JDM GSR in 95 DX coupe.

Ok guys, I am sorry if this has been asked before, but anyway, I have two cars, a 92 DX hatch and a 95 DX coupe, I really like both cars, but I like the coupe a little more, the interior on the hatch is better than the coupe and the body of the coupe is better than the hatch. I have a stock JDM d15b motor and tranny that is going to go in one and be sold, with the money I make off the car along with some of the money I have saved, I am getting a JDM GSR swap with LSD. I know the hatch would be faster, but by about how much, 1/4 mile time and car lengths. If the coupe is not far behind the hatch I think I want to keep the coupe, but I just cant decide. I know every one would say go with the hatch, but I just want to know how far behind the coupe would be in a 1/4 race. Thanks for the help in advance.

A couple hundred pounds isn't going to make a huge difference...go for which ever you like better.

And just for the record...the hatch gets my vote

id say the hatch would have 2 cars on you by 70 mph. a gsr hatch can make low 14s easy.

I think the coupe weights like an extra 200lbs or so... basically personal preference.

why don't you just take the interior out of the hatch and put it in the coupe?

and i have a question as well, what do you guys think about a EVO vs. STI vs. civic vs. integra vs. a mustang vs. audi A4 vs. supra vs. a skyline?

i agree w/ delsol marine if both are in equal condition then i would leave it up to personal preference...for a daily driver if you are gonna make a drag/race car then go for the lighter one!
p.s. hatches usually have more space to haul stuff

I'd go with the hatch..but I don't know, 'cause you said hte exterior of the hatch isn't as good as the exterior of the coupe...but the interior is and that's where you're sitting.. With the weight of the hatch opposed to the coupe you'll have a faster trap time and believe it or not better gas mileage - I like the styling of the hatch more...but maybe my opinion's biased since I owne a coupe...

I would take the hatch interior, but I got a guy wanting the hatch and the good interior with it. the body on the hatch has dents and dings all over it, with bad fading since its red, but the coupe has been repainted before (allready chipping on the edges though) and has a perfect body with no dents.

thats way off.

thats like saying, if i removed 400 lbs from my car, i would run 12's. vs the 14 i run now. and the coupe doesnt weigh 2700. each 100 lbs is usually 2/10ths or so.

Yeah 2700lbs is wayy off for a dx coupe. an EX coupe doesnt even weight more than 2600 lbs. That dx coupe prob weights in at about 2350lbs maybe 2400 and the hatch is like 2150-2200lbs. Its only like a 200lb difference.

Don't know if your still deciding, but imo, i like coupes more. I guess the question here is which do you enjoy driving more.

there no reason the hatch should be faster. its only slightly lighter than the coupe.

sounds like me you want to keep the coupe.

eeehhhh i dont really like 5g coupes, so ill say hatch. post pics of each and it will be easier to decide

ninja edit: you may want to keep the coupe because the hatch's price (atleast where i live) can be inflated to 3x bluebook, thats what the **** here are doing, i paid an arm and a leg for mines
