how they do it..i dont know ..but there have been JDM swap s that have pass d in calif..the problem is knowing what the USDM specs. are and bring the JDM swap up to meet them..everything..and i do mean everything has to be in place

from what I know is that all the smog devices they use on the USDM motors have to be on the JDM motor i.e. Intake mani, CPU, Cat and what ever else besides the motor being the same year as your car or newer.
