jdm ek4 rear disc conversion help!
im trying to do a rear disc conversion on my 96 civic lx (4door) and i came upon a jdm ek4 rear disc conversion. i picked up the brake assembly, e-brake cables & trailing arms for $198 off J-HOT IMPORTS in Denton, TX.
do i need to swap out my master cylinder & prop valve as well? if so, do i source it from the jdm ek4 or can it be from an integra or civic si?? what model do i get replacement parts (rotors, brake lines, etc) for?? i looked up rear disc conversion threads & they're all using the brake assembly from integras & civic si's. i know i should've got integra parts instead but for $198, i couldnt resist. lol. any help would be greatly appreciated! |
Re: jdm ek4 rear disc conversion help!
i don't believe the jdm rear brakes are different i could be wrong though. you need a 40/40 prop. valve of a em1 or integra will work fine.
Replacement parts should be for an integra or em1. and i am pretty sure you don't have to change your master cylinder just the prop. valve |
