Hey, Heres some pics of my sedan
Just wondering what 1/4 mile you guys would expect it to run?
Engine: JDM 1500 SOHC VTEC (d15b)
- IHI VF10 turbo
- Custom Intercooler
- Mitsi GSR blow/off
- 2 extra 290CC injectors
- Link extra injector controller
- Link Clamp link
- Dyno tuned @ 6 psi
- 2 1/4 crap exhaust
- standard internals
- 17 inch wheels
Any advice would be appreciated

You have a d15b running w/ 6psi. Nice! Why do you have such a huge intercooler? Not flameing or anything, just curious why? I ask because I know some people who run turbo on the same engine w/ no intercooler at 6psi also.

The reason I got this intercooler was because at the time it was the best deal I could find, and it was only a fraction more expensive than ones that were alot smaller. It also gives me more confidence to run a bit more boost, later in the cars life.
Are the people you know running the JDM d15b (1500 SOHC VTEC)? This engine is 130hp standard.
I'd actually be really happy with a low 14 in this car as it still has stock everything basically.

it all depends on where he's measuring the 6psi... if it's at the turbo the yeah it's probobly all but gone by the time it's through that cooler... but if it's after then he has a nice cool 6psi running..
when does it spool dude?

Heres a pic of where I T'd the gauge. You think I should be getting an accurate reading from here?
The turbo starts winding at about 2000, but the car starts pulling when I hit 4000.

I saw that intercooler and was expecting a turbo the size of a basketball and a b20, instead I see a d15 at 6psi and a 2.25" exhaust.
Well, least you'll never have to change out intercoolers...

single cam turbo setup?!?!?!?! uh....why??? that's prolly good for 160-170 whp...if that...what engine management system are you using on it? do you have a boost controller with that setup? might wanna get a FPR for tuning while your'e at it...

Nice car man, and yes that is a crazy-*** intercooler. I'm running 6 psi through a DSM intercooler and it does the trick. I'm curious to know a little more about the additional injectors. Have they treated you well? How is tuning on those things?
Oh yeah...

Why, because this turbo setup cost less than a JDM B18C transplant & goes harder to
Now, can someone please help me out with my question about the gauge. If its mounted where its is (see above pic) will it be giving me a psi reading after or before the intercooler?
Thanks.

If you t'ed it off the FPR then it's after the intercooler. The FPR get's it's vacuum source directly from the manifold.

Thanks man.
Im using 2 extra 290CC injectors which are mounted on the intercooler piping just before the throttle body. From what Ive heard, this setup is quite dodgy on big boost setups as sometimes fuel can be running rich on one cylinder but running lean on another. So makes it really hard to tune.
For tuning im using 2 products that are made over here in New Zealand by a company called Link ElectroSystems, which you can read about here - http://link-electro.co.nz/interceptlink.html and here - http://link-electro.co.nz/powerlink.html
These were dyno tuned. The guys that did the tuning found it hard to get the perfect tune, but finally found it & the car has been running perfect ever since

uhm.. i'm guessing a bumper is out of the question? is that why you're plate is on there?
do you permanently plan on having no bumper? kinda dopey looking.
props for the boosted sohc
but that intercooler is all sorts of large

Bumper is on allmost all the time, I just took some photos with it off & the plate is just temporary.
It looks evil with it off, It looks sleepy with it on
