Default Jdm eg headlights

I recently bought some stock eg headlights for $20. When I got home I realized they were jdm oem headlights so I was excited that I got a super deal on them. Anyway I put the regular h4 bulbs in and there is not a good beam rather the light is thrown all over the place.

Question is would the h4h's solve this problem or should I get some usdm factory headlights again? I don't want to spend money on bulbs if they still won't have a beam where I can see at night.

Thanks in advance

The biggest issue with jdm lights besides the bulbs....it the fact they are aimed the wrong direct, and blind on coming traffic. You are probably best to resell them for a profit, and then find a good lhd pair

Yea I've read that.I adjusted them as much as possible but there is still no beam. I'm probably going to end up buying some black housing oem style ones.

Here is a useful link for you, containing links to a conversion of H4 to fit H4H, and discussion about the merits of such a move. Your decision.

I have these, when I tried to use the h4 bulbs they definetly did not fit or work. My h4h bulbs are bright as **** though. You can't really rell that they angle into traffic unless your on a dark countrt road with no trees and its still not like hella angled that way just a little

Funny, i rarely get high beamed with my jdm lights/hid bulbs. Aimed correctly they don't brother anyone and yes you can still get good light output.

There's a ton of factory cars that have hids that are more obnoxious now days

I'd personally rank them in this order from WORST to BEST:

JDM RHD plastic (bad RHD beam pattern, plastic fogs up but can be cleaned; not DOT legal CAN/US) < EDM RHD Glass w/ no nipples (bad RHD beam pattern; not DOT legal CAN/US) < CDM/USDM LHD Glass (LHD but still bad beam pattern) < EDM LHD Glass w/ no nipples (good beam, legal in CAN, not DOT legal in US)
