Hi there,

i have jdm car and the steering and pedals are on the right hand side. Because of this the throttle cable loops across the front of my engine bay then round into the TB. the usdm ones look soo much tidier coming straight out of the fire wall and into the TB. I was just wondering if its sweet to cut and re route it around the back of the intake manifold then round into the TB???? Any one had any experience with this?

I'd look for another throttle cable, a shorter one within another Honda I suppose. Cause cutting a throttle, ya gotta keep that end piece with the cylinder where it hooks to the throttle cable rotor plate thing. I'd advise against that and check other Honda cars that have shorter cables, but longer than you need (slightly) and get one of those cable holders and tap and drill to make a hole for it somewhere in the bay.

Not strictly, but i kind of want it out of the way of my turbo manifold etc when I go turbo.

well on the front of the motor there is a specific spot for the throttle cable. it really isnt going to interfere with anything. it just goes across the front.

Yeah but i just took out my AC which has the bracket connected. I could fabricate another one but i thought it would look tidier the othe way......any idea what king of cable I would be looking at being a close fit? I know it seems like a lot of trouble over nothing....but that's how I am

you dont need a bracket. its on the valve cover itself.


take a look at that picture, where the timing belt goes, there is a silver hole. thats what you should use.
