Default Jdm D15B swap checklist

Im in last phase of selecting supplier for this. Like Japan Direct and Importautosalvage.com both very helpful.

This is a swap to 90 Honda Civic 3 door hatch. (d15b1 TBI) 1.5L 4 speed

Am I correct in changing Water Pump, Crank Seals, Cam Seals, and Timing belt at the same time? Also thinking of Clutch. Should I also get motor mounts? Is there a reasonable supplier on line I can source?

Am I forgetting anything?

All comments welcome.

Thanks JoeW

if you are getting JDM D15B get all the stuff that comes with it, and try to get the tranny that comes with it and optional LSD (nice package). Also this might help you my friend is running the same motor but I think he got ZEX cam, and the ECU that motor is using is P06 chipped (so it says on the ECU itself) and I guess it allows you to use single wire O2 sensor without no CEL or running problems (I know with p28 you will have to get 4 wire O2).

And since you are running TBI right now you will prolly have to get some new vacume lines of 92-95 civic and the wire harness too.

the jdm d15b vtec ecu is a p08 not p06

and for the other guy u will need

obd0-obd1 wire harness-
p08 or p28 ecu
water pump and new timing belt is good to replace
u can ue your stock mounts, but i would buy new ones if your old ones are cracked.
jdm 1 wire 02 senser or u.s. 4wire o2 senser.
d16z6 oem head gasket is optional.
a new cap and rotor for a d16z6
new spark plugs, and wire's
thermastat

and that is about it, the d15b vtec will prob be a automatic motor, zex or crower cam would be nice, the d15b vtec cam is better that the d16z6 cam.

clutch and flywheel is up to you:

there might be 1 or 2 things i left out but i dont think so, i used to have a d15b vtec in a hatch, so i would know what u need

goodluck
