Default JDM d15b ECU help....

Right now I have a 92 VX ECU(p07?). I've read that the p28 will work with a d15b vtec swap but the p08 is the better ecu....so what is the truth? Do I need a p08 or a p28? What would the difference be between the two? By the way I did a search and couldn't find much about this topic....Thanks.

p08 is essentially the same as a p28...the jdm d15b is a de-stroked d16z6. the p08 is for the d15b and the p28 is for the d16z6...i guess both should work

yes p28 works and so does P08.

only difference is that the P08 is able to run with single wire 02 and does not require PA input. also the maps seem to be alot more aggressive and suited for the d15b.

I went from 107whp on the 117whp with a 'tuned' d15b rom (basically slightly more fuel and about 3 degrees more timing)

just to add, if you get a p28 you can still chip it with a stock p08 or tuned proggy without any problems
