I know this question has probably been asked many times but I searched and could not find a straight answer to this. This is for EK CTR headlights. I have the sockets and I want the city lights to turn on along with the parking lights (not replacing the parking lights). Is it ok to hook up a wire from the socket to the parking light wire? Which wire color is the parking lights? Does it matter which plug you use in the socket for the positive and negative sides?

you need to hook up the red blk wire from your turn signal lights, and the blk wire as well. Leave the grn wire alone... This will make the citylights come up when you put your parking lights on or headlights for that matter, but they wont blink with your turn signal...

so you have to cut the insulation off the parking lights wires and tap a power cable? i was thinking about using one of those line connectors so i won't cut the wires by accident
