JDM Civic Power Windows. What needs to be changed?
I've got a chance to buy a JDM Civic Power Window kit, which is something I didn't want to try to mess with, but it's a good price, so I might go for it.
Besides the master switch being on the passenger side, what else is there to look out for? How much (or little) wiring needs to be messed with? I figured I'd just mold my own switches into my doorpanel, so I'm not really too concerned with that I reckon.
I tried searching, but didn't find exactly what I was looking for.
TIA.

well the wireing wont work because its supposed to plug into the fuse box (which would be the right side of the car)
and since you have a lhd car the wires dont reach.
even if they did i dont think theres a spot to plug into the fusebox, i heard there is on the si though.
also the harness should come with the folding mirror wires attached. so if you dont plan on buying any id cut all that crap away.
theres only like 4 wires that need to used. and you can just plug the power wire into the optional slots in the front of your fuze box.
after ******* with it i got it to work perfect.
then i took it out the same day and put fiberglass doors on and sold it. id suggest looking into a helms to find which wires do what.
cause the loom has like 100 wires and 96 or so, are trash.
ps.
if your power window switches are black, ill buy them off you or trade for jdm shitttttt

1) Try finding a complete USDM power window kit. I've been looking for a few weeks now, and haven't found anything for a reasonable price.
2) Whoever said I was hardcore jdm y0? I'm looking at the JDM kits because those pop up on Ebay a LOT more often than a USDM kit does, hence me asking about the install of one.
3) Of course I can extend all the wiring and USDM parts, but then I've got to try to locate USDM switches in decent shape, which, like a USDM OEM system, has proven virtually impossible.
Thanks drunknbass for the worthwhile post. I appreciate it.
