Default JDM B18C (TYPE R)

i was interested in buying an jdm b18c (type r model) .. i went to look at one on craigslist.. ITS VERY CLEAN and less then 25K miles . its complete with the tranny just no headers ecu and axles. everything else is there.. but am not sure how much i should spend and how much there worth? can someone tell me how much i should offer and how much its actually worth? thanks!!

Go here and do the price comparisons that you should have done in the first place. Don't buy engines off of Craigslist.

They actually claim their JDM motor has less than 25k miles? IMO, that's a significant blow to their credibility unless they have a spectacularly good explanation for it.

Also, stock for stock the b18cr ECU is better than the b18c5, and it won't be cheap to replace.

If it still has the green dye on the head, it is prob a really low mileage motor, but I doubt it has it...

Where would the green dye on the head be located? I just bought a jdm 97 b18cr and I'm a little curious.
