i dont know if this has been posted but i hope yall dont mind.. since i own a 00 civic si and im about to swap a jdm b16a2 motor since my si b16a2 motor's piston #4 is fucked... and the technician told me that its better to get a new motor instead fix a new 1.. so im lookin at some long blocks of jdm b16a2 and b18c1 and i m thinkin i might buy eiither 1 of them..

now do i have to change the transmisson or ecu or anything else but im not too sure bec since they are still b series.. i m goin to swap just long block motor.. let me know thanks.

stock internals or what? Did you throw a rod or what? If its just piston...he's just trying to up sell your *** man. Watch and see if he asks you if you wanna buy one from him!

Any B series transmission will work with any B series motor. As far as ECUs, I'm not sure.

yea the motor is stock, i dont think hes tryin to sell me out cause hes is my mothers friend. he can heard it knockin in the motor, and found out it was piston on the number 4.. he told me that it will be ok to fix a new piston but it will not be worth it.. since i have 92k mileages on it.

do u think jdm b1a2 and usdm b16a2 's ecus are the same or different?

I would imagine different. And the JDM b16a is just called a b16a, the b16a2 was found in the USDM 99-00 Si model.
