JDM B16A2 OBD1 sawp into 97 Civic EX(D16Y8) major problems!!!! HELP!!!
I blew a connecting rod through my oil pan in the D16Y8, thus the reason for the swap. Now I am regretting this swap. I only chose it because its what I could afford. Here is the list of problems...
1 - Power Steering Pump
The one that came with the swap has a small pressure line fitting and the factory pressure line fitting. Can I just put a USDM B16 power steering pump on or do I have to send the lines out for custom fitting?
2 - Wiring
I have rewired everything I could see that needed to be done(dist, evap purge, o2) but still have the crank sensor harness and the map sensor connector not plugged into anything... no clue...
3 - Vacuum Diagrams
Since the throttle body on the B16 has no map assembly it has 2 vacuum attachments. No idea what would attach to them. And also where does the evap line from the canister to the block/head connect to on this?
Like I said i may be in too deep and screwed myself over. Any help would be appreciated greatly

Dude... these are very small problems. You have a very simple swap compared to others.
You can find answers to all your wiring questions by RESEARCHING. Try the HT search, use google, you can find answers quickly on your own instead of waiting for people to answer them for you.
The two vacuum nipples on the throttle body can be used for anything that requires vacuum. Your MAP can be one of them, if you don't use the other, just cover it. Go to the wreckers and grab a MAP from a 92-95 base model Civic. Some are firewall mounted. Grab one of those, put it in your pocket.
You'll need a conversion harness so you can use am OBDI ECU to run the motor. In which case, you will not need to wire the crank sensor. Again, research this and you will be fine.
Good luck man.

Ok that settles vacuum issues and wiring... I have been doing reasearch on this swap but evidence of it people doing them isnt there. I have the conversion harness(came with the motor)... just left to wonder about the power steering issue
