Jdm B16A Rev Limiter 3500 Problem
I have a Jdm B16a that recently just started acting up, It doesn't happen very often, but when it does happen this is how it goes..
I'll start my car and immediately can tell that it's idling alittle different than it usually does, While driving it definately sounds different as well, It pops when trying to accelerate and when rpm's get to 3500 it basicaly sounds like its bouncing off the revvy.
Im not sure what is causing this, Could be a bad ecu? Dizzy? IACV?
It started happening the other day after i changed my alternator belt, and seafoam'd my booster line -- However I have used seafoam before and used less then prescribed
Im going to check the Ground wire to my alternator and make sure its secure.
However, that same day the ground wire came undone to my neg. battery terminal, while i was driving. Maybe i toasted my ecu?

No check engine Light, And yeah it could be my Map Sensor, honestly. When My MAF Sensor fried in my Sr 240 it was running the same way, spitting and popping and hitting the revy at 3500. Hehe This is my first honda >.<

Not sure, going to look at that tomorrow.
When I got off work, I went to go start my car.
Turned the key, let the fuel pump prime, And I heard my Main relay click on and off a few times.. Started my car, and it died right away. Tried again, and it died again. 3rd time i revved it up to keep it going.
I checked all grounds today, Knock sensor, Check battery voltage and alternator. Could it be my ECU? Or dizzy? Or MAP Sensor?

Okay, so I did a Compression Test. Exactly 160 on each cylinder. Replaced the Dizzy, Still didn't fix it. Finally I decided to try my ECU in my Buddies car, and his car ran just like mine.. Which means I fried my ECU.
Got a new P72 and my car runs great. Just figure i would update the thread to let others know How it was fixed.
The only explanation I can think of for frying my ecu is about 4-5 days ago the Ground to my Negative terminal on my battery came off while the car was running, Just so happened that this problem started that same day.

I had a issue just like your having. timing belt jumped a tooth.
I replace some stuff after checking the cams thinking they were lined
Up and it ended up being the crank shaft timing was off from
The two cam shafts. I had to pull the crankshaft pulley off to
Line it all up and get to the timing belt tensioner.
