JDM B16A Oil Pressure Light Gets Brighter With RPM
got a 92 hatch with b16a motor and s4c trans, p30 ecu. took car on a 230 mile trip to my house. It sat there for two months. This past weekend I had chance to make it home I wired up the knock sensor, bc it was never pinned/wire and that cel is gone now. I let the engine warm up to temperature. Took it for a test drive to make sure the cel was gone for good and after about 5 minutes i noticed the oil pressure light was on real dim, as you accelerate or increase the RPMS the light gets brighter on a linear scale. Vtec still works though. I turned around and came home because i didnt want to break anything. Anyone else have this happen before. Do you think changing the oil and filter may cause it to go away. I never changed oil since i had this car and the only miles i put on it were on the trip home. I know i can hook up a manual psi gauge but would like to see if its anything simple first . Suggestions thanks?

Re: JDM B16A Oil Pressure Light Gets Brighter With RPM
i changed the oil today, used mobil 1 5-30 fully synthetic, and there was a chunk of sludge in the oil that came out. Also the oil pressure switch connector wasn't fully on. Started the car and the light was fully light. So it not being on all the way would explain why it was getting brighter. I have a P30 ecu with a JDM B16 motor. The ecu is looking for oil pressue via the sending unit right? I am going to try to hook up a manual gauge asap
