jdm b16a idle/throttle problems
hey i have a jdm b16a with a stock throttle body I changed it out with my old one and it was whistling so i put the old one back on and it was whistling and it was idling at 2500 RPMS I think the gasket is torn too shreds but would that cause this?

Re: jdm b16a idle/throttle problems (mongoliandonuts)
Lets see if you have an air leak on your throttle body then the Map sensor will pick up the additonal air and increase the RPM since it thinks the Plate is open but your idle should be weird since your TPS is not moved.
the reason why your gasket broke, well given their only suppose to be used Once and changed everytime you change TB.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by handa »</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">so no CEL or anything? it stays at 2500rpm? i'm not getting the picture.
check my sig. </TD></TR></TABLE>
the MAP sensor is reading the leak so there should be no reason why there is a CEL.
