JDM B16A 1??? JDM B16A2???
Got a 2000 Civic Si with a JDM B16A but iono which GEN it is. My civic uses Hydraulic but it has a serial that starts with a 1xxxxxxx. It also use a OBD1 but from what I heard the first Gen use a OBD 0. Also my tranny is acting weird. Everytime I take my RPM up to 5.5+ my third and 5th gear grind a little even if i hit the clutch all the way to the ground. Also whenever I take it to high speed (60 MPH) its VERY VERY DIFFICULT to through it into 5th gear while ride'n on neutral. ANY SUGGESTION WOULD BE APPRECIATE!!!!

Re: JDM B16A 1??? JDM B16A2??? (JDM B16A)
there is no such thing as a jdm b16a1 or b16a2. jdm motors dont have that last number on em they are b16a. and there you go. is it the stock motor out of an si? if so its not jdm and it is a b16a2

The b16a SiR may not be stamped the a1, but that's what it's called. I forget how to exactly explain it, but you'll see it called the a1 a lot... which is technically correct.
However, the a2 is a 99-00 USDM Si/Canadian SiR only.
Anyway, about your shifting problem... it sounds like the synchros are on their way to dying.

Let me make myself clear. I got a 2000 civic Si with a different motor. Not the USDM B16. I had a B20 in it but i blew it. so now my buddy install for me a JDM B16. Sorry if I didn't make myself clear earlier. Thanks for all your reply though.
