Im going to do a tune up on my jdm b16 gen 2 motor soon. I was wondering what the best spark plugs would be best for me? The motor has about 100k on it. Has Intake, rmf header, greddy sp2 exhaust, ITR cams, and tuned on 93 octane. Im also going to go with OEM wires or should i go with NGK?

Ive read up for wires that OEM is best and than i also here the NGK's are better. For my setup what would be the best?

dont get copper plugs, get NGK v power plugs, they're the base NGK plug and are actually the best u can use on a honda.. all that platinum irridum BS doesnt make a big difference on a honda, only in your wallet... most big turbo guys run them just in a different heat ranges... you should just get plugs and wires for a 99-00 Si, V-powers are like 2 bucks a piece ...

Actually V-power are copper core plugs and all that I use as well. Copper is a better conductor of electricity but the plugs don't last as long. So that's the trade off versus using iridium. Ngk or Denso iridiums are oem in most Honda's these days.

well i didnt wanna confuse him and have him going to napa asking for copper plugs and them selling them some BS..lol v power plugs will last just fine.. most plugs now adays are designed to last 100k before changing them..

Vpowers will not last 100k. I change them every other oil change or so. Mine is a turbo application though.

OEM wires are hands down the best wires for the money. And there is zilch wrong with OEM plugs. I've seen several dyno tests over the years.

IF there is a discernible difference it's not enough to spend more than 2 minutes deciding which spark plug to get.

Properly gapping them will do more for your engine than the type/brand of plug. OEM plugs are cheap, and work great.

i meant plugs in newer cars like my old 07 Si ,and yea being boosted you would be changing plugs that often lol

whatever stock is, they are usually pre gap'd right but i always double check them..

No, you do no want those! You want stock# 2756 the bkr6e-11. They will be pre-gapped.

The ones you linked are a heat range 8 non-resistor racing plug. It would fit the engine but would foul quickly. These are used on 500+ whp turbo motors.

I believe the 11 in the part number corresponds to the gap 1.1mm, I would check the gap before install even if they are pre gapped, I have had sets where the gap was perfect out of the box and some that needed adjusting and BKR6E-11 is what you want as stated above

JDM or not those laser spark plugs that they sell at usually any auto parts stores are the ****. Its a laser beam instead of actual spark. They work really well.

Lets help you answer your own question. Is your plug in question the same heat range as the stock plug? Is your plug in question copper or some other material.

If you said yes to the heat range and yes to copper and it is the same physical dimensions as the stock plug... Then yes it will be fine on your vehicle assuming a rather stock setup. If you said no or some other answer to either of those two questions, it has been stated in this thread multiple times that it's not as good for your motor.
