jdm b16 motor mount?
while trying to install my 2nd gen jdm b16 into my 93dx hatch, I ran into a problem my driver side mount. When I tried to put the one from my dx motor on the b16 it was crooked. What kind of car can I get the mount from? 94 and up Integra? or a delsol b16. Also which 2 of the vtec wires are which?
Thanks
Thanks

The integra mount doesn't work. I just got mine in and the b16 mount has two offset bolts while the integra mount has two straight bolts.
Are you sure the sohc vtec mount will bolt on to the jdm b16 mount? If so that would save me a big headache!!!!

Re: jdm b16 motor mount? (nsxmatt)
do I have to use the front mounts that were on my dx motor. The mounts that are on the block next to the header. I am doing a second genb16 in a 93dx--hatch. Or can I just leave those mounts off? I think i have seen cars without them.

i answered that wrong, get the bracket from an integra that bolts directly to the block, it's like $60 it will work with your civic.

So what your saying is you can't use the ex/si mount on the top timing belt side mount? I looked at the mount that connects to the block, the part that has the two bolts sticking up. My stock sohc vtec mount looks to have the same bolt pattern (two offset bolts the same offset) and looks like it should work.

it depends on your motor some of the second gen b16s had offset mounts and some were strait. But does anyone know if i need to keep the two front mounts or can i get rid of them I am reffering to the mounts that are parralel with the header one on the tranny one on the block. And no i don't have poly mounts

The front two motor mounts do provide some help from the motor tilting back and forth i'm sure. I've seen them without the a/c bracket also but i'm sure it's better to have them on. But if your in a pinch...

Re: jdm b16 motor mount? (93dx--hatch)
the driver side upper mount is actually two pieces. separate it and replace the "L" bracket that bolts directly to the block with the bracket from a 94+ integra. the upper piece (round, usually brushed aluminum) will bolt into this and feed through the motor mount in the frame of the car.
i picked mine up through http://www.sohfast.com for 40 bucks

the one from your single cam will not bolt to the dohc block.
edit: i meant the bracket, re-use the round mount that actually bolts to the car.
