Default J-spec OBD-1 D15b into a 99 dx

I'm in the process of doing this swap, i know i would have to change the alternator, distributor, and intake manifold for it to work. I was just wondering what would be best, just converting the cars engine harness to obd-1 (how do i do that ?), or just continue with switching everything over? I just want the car to be running properly. So any suggestion on what would be the best way to have to motor running in the best possible manner.

Also the whole VTEC thing, I'm not sure in how i would get that to work, being that i would need to wire the harness for the vtec.

I need everyones experienced opinions.

Swap the alternator, swap the guts in the distributor, the cases are physically different in terms of the mounting flange, but everything internal swaps. You can pull the blue inserts out of the injector clips so they will fit on the OBD1 injectors, you will need to ty wrap them on thought as they wont stay plugged in on there own. You will need to wire Vtec as shown in the pic below, also note the section on the IACV fix, which you will need to preform, best choice for an ECU would be a P28 chipped with P08 maps run with an OBD2B to OBD1 conversion harness.

Mark the 2 pronged cam on the outside back of the distributor (the thing that locks into the camshaft) in relation the shaft in the distributor. Other than that its just screws and a snap ring holding everything together.
