Default IT'S HOT!!! I need my a/c...

Ok well I've searched and what I found didn't help much.

I drive a Del Sol with a B16A that was originaly a d16z6. A while back I got my engine swaped and my a/c condensor doesn't bolt up to the bracket. Well two of the bolts on the left were on, but I broke one of them when I put the belt on. So I've searched like I said and could only find one post that made sense. It said to use a del sol vtec bracket, but don't I allread have this? I also found a bracket for eg,ek modles with b-series engine at jdmhondaparts.com.

My question is which do I need to bolt my condenser to my engine? Thanx all who help...........

You need the AC bracket from the DOHC Del Sol

The a/c bracket needs to have the stamp P54 on it.

not trying to be a smart-*** or 2nd guess anything but do you need to put the compressor or the condensor on? Just checking 'cuz you mentioned putting a belt on it.

This may or may not apply but I just added A/C to my '99 hatch and found out the hard and expensive way that D and B series compressors are different. The brackets are different and the lines running from the compressors are slightly different, though mine worked with a bit of force.

ok im kind of in this situation as well..and i have some questions..i had the sohc non vtec engine in the del sol (d15 and had a/c too) ..and i just swapped in a b18c and the compressor is still on the motor and all..and i know the original lines from my d15 won't fit on there so do i use the integra a/c lines or should i change the condensor off the b18c to the dohc vtec del sol condensor off the b16? im a little confused and im not sure what exactly to look for..if someone can help me out that would be great, thanks

I'm not sure if I'm answering what you want, but you'll need a Del Sol VTEC bseries ac bracket. you may be using the stock d series bracket (i don't think it bolts up though). So i'm not sure what bracket you have, but if you don't have the del sol vtec's bracket you'll need find one of those.

i have the JDM aluminum bracket it's very light, but you CAN NOT bolt on your compressor there without minor modifications. Do a search and some people have made that AC bracket work with thier AC system. Also when you did your swap the condensor should've been plugged up properly as well as the lines. You may not be able to use the ac system again if the system wasn't closed properly.

I say take the top off, and roll the windows and start wearing undershirt to hide the unsightly sweat stains.

HAHA...thanx man for the help.

I think I just have to get the Del Sol VTEC bracket. I know they used the old bracket, but I was just wondering if that othe bracket from JHP would work.
