Default ITR Type R Muffler on a EG EJ EK Coupe HB Hatchback

Yeah I made the topic title that way so if anyone searches in the future it will be easy to find so hopefully this will be a helpful thread. I did a search on installation of a ITR muffler on a 92-95 coupe but came up with nothing. Everything for for hatchbacks only. SO my question is I have a 94 ex coupe and an ITR muffler. Will it bolt on? What does it look like? Any fabrication involved?

Please chime in with your experiences, helpful websites or threads, or anything else you can add. Right now I have some fart can that came with my Tenrai exhaust and I can't stand the sound of it anymore. I also want this thread to cover as much as possible on the subject of ITR muffler onto any kind of civic.

But if you don't mind answering my question first I'd really appreciate it .

If yo already have an ITR muffler, then why not just try for yourself? To answer your question, it should bolt up and work fine, i have one on my sedan and the only complaint is that it is a little too short (tip is at the inside part of the bumper, not the middle.)

Your right and I will try it for myself...tommorow becasue I have to work 12 hours today . I know it will fit, I'm mainly curious of what other's experinces are are far as sound, looks, and any kind of mods made to the muffler to get it in perfect. Also I was hoping other's would add helpful insight to hatch owner's etc. I had issues searching for a good thread so I thought it might be time to make a "universal" thread on this topic. Thanks for your input

Well hopefully someone will chime in w/some good info. I'm gonna get started on my car tommorow so I'll be sure to give all the details on how everything went and take some pics in the process. Although I don't think I could do a very good write up .

i had it on my EJ1. bolt on affair, only thing missing is the front mount hanger for the exhuast. about 4-5 short from the tip to the rear bumper. Not a big issue but if you don't wash the rear bumper on occasion you will see black soot buildup on it. exhaust sounds quite until you floor the gas pedal and it gives a raspy sound towards the higher rpm and aslo starts to choke the engine. That's why I got rid of my ITR muffler and got a RS*R exmag instead.
