ITR 'STYLE' intake manifold?

Hey guys!

I wanted to get a intake system from password JDM and asked question about which one would fit in my civic with GSR swap. I got following message as an answer.

============================================
if you have a stock GSR intake manifold then that is the correct intake
to get. But if you plan on changing to a ITR style intake manifold or have
that now then you need the EG/EK intake
===========================================

What's the ITR style intake manifold? is it like replica of ITR intake manifold that can be fitted on GSR motor?

and also, if it's ITR style manifold, why should I get an intake for EG and EK?

I am confused... https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif

the Integra Type-R (ITR) intake manifold is different from the GSR intake manifold. and alot of people will use the ITR intake manifold over the GSR manifold. So..like the message asks...If you plan on sticking with the GSR manifold then buy an intake that is suited for the GSR, however..unless you plan on swapping out the manifold for an ITR (or ITR style manifold) manifold, then buy the intake for the ITR.

my opinion...stick with the GSR manifold and get the intake for the GSR.

how is it confusing?? PJDM was asking if the OP is going to be swapping out his intake manifold for an ITR/ITR Style intake manifold. and if he was going that route he would need to buy an intake for an ITR. but since the OP clearly says he is looking for one for his GSR swapped civic...he should buy an intake for a GSR.

The OP and the guy who thinks its confusing are being confused by the "eg/ek" part.

Just buy the GSR intake. And honestly, just buy the pipe on ebay...forget password. Their 3" aluminum pipe is no better than an ebay 3" aluminum pipe. Don't waste your money

what he means is this:

I have a GSR, but I have a Skunk2 Pro intake manifold, The throttle body "sits" higher and in the same spot as my old D series in my EG. Thus allowing me to use my original intake

If you have a stock GSR intake manifold the throttle body sits lower and your intake will be sagging down in the back
