Default ITR Rear Swaybar fitment, with aftermarket exhaust...

I tried to search for this, but the topics I found, no one gave an answer.

I currently have an Apex WS exhaust on my 95 Coupe. I have heard that the ITR 23mm rear swaybar won't bolt up with this exhaust, or other aftermarket exhausts...

Is that true? What exhausts work? Im in the process of changing the entire suspension, and the last part is the rear. I don't want to run into a problem.

How could you run it ghetto? You can't notch or grind down the swaybar or the exhaust...

I'm running the 23mm bar on my coupe. I am Not running the same exhaust though.
I have an ITR midpipe, with just a midas 2.5 inch pretty stock looking muffler.

The bar was close to the piping, but the suspension would have to compress quite a bit for the bar to hit the piping, with the springs and shocks i have it just doens't happen.
side to side was fine because the exhuast and muffler was mounted pretty stable so it doesn't move much.

I know it doesn't answer really, My personal experience might lend some insight or ideas, who knows.

You might just have to try and put it on if you have all the parts and go with some trial and error.
Good luck

Im not at the moment, but I plan too. I just got a 24mm ITR front sway bar, all new poly bushings and shocks, Ground Control top hats for the front and once that is installed, I'll do the rear. Just trying to make sure this **** is gonna work.

I would ask a few of the guys in the RR/ auto x forum. Lots of them run the ITR rear sway but I am not sure about the exhaust.

OMG... i think it will fit.

Well anyways, i decide to install the WS2 today without the ITR 23mm. But i'm currently running the GSR 19mm. Picture speak for itself.

Picture aren't resize yet. So JDM_Ej i hope you have something better then 56k, LOL

Looks like you got plenty of room. If worst comes to worst you can always take it to a muffler shop and have them rework the exhaust. My crx dx no sway bar, went to install a teggy ls piece, went through the exaust. I went to a muffler shop 50 bucks later a had a rear sway and complete exhaust.

My exhuast pipe is about 1/4" away from the sway bar when my suspension is loaded.

I have a 23mm rear sway and a Apex'i WS exhaust on a 99' 3DR civic hatch.

It's ok most of the time, I hear the occasional thump or rattle when going over rough roads. Maybe it's the 550lb rear springs on my car that keeps them away from each other.

I do plan to do a custom pipe setup that will clear it, but there aren't many mufflers that give enough room in a hatch

What rear bar is that? I dont think the GSR came with a 19mm rear bar. I believe it is 14mm, and wasn't painted.
