Default itr hatch running weak reasons why?

my friend has a 93 hatch with a 97 integra type r motor and i have a crx with a b16a a clutch and a throttle body and i beat him today, but day before yesterday he put 7 cars on me he said it is bogging so we cut his exhaust off because the resonator was acting up but its still boggy so we went and bought msd wires and new plugs, still boggy we are about to go get a new fuel filter and if that doesnt fix it what else could be the problem?

were not sure what were going to do with it because its an itr he is also thinking about getting another gsr and boosting but we dunno, he is in the middle of getting a nx 50 shot wet kit for the itr but i dunno he wants to spray on it but it was expensive so he may save the kit for something else
