yes i think u do. Thats what my shop told me
my eg also have stright pipe and itr b pipe. But jut couldn't fit in the ITR muffler god damn it!
my shop said it will fit, but it need some modification and like an additional 200 bucks CND not USD ok. CND
does anyone know if this is worth it? Don't want loud exhaust if u ask me.

why would you need to run a straight pipe? you can run a normal cat, just make sure the exhaust pipe is the appropriate length so it will actually reach the cat.. you may need to have an extension welded on..
i'd say ditch the itr piping and spend $100 to have some piping put in by the muffler shop.. sure it'll be crush bent but it won't have the restrictions that the itr piping does..
btw eg hatch, $200 (even canadian) is a fuggin rip! i'd say go to a different muffler shop.. it's amazing just how different quotes can be.. one shop asked us for $350 for full 2.5" piping while my regular place did the job for $100.. go figure..

yeah thats true. I really try to stay away from "custom" exhaust though. Just somethin about it that i dont liike. I see what you are sayin about the cat though. I was just told i needed a strait pipe?but thanks for the info but ill probably stick with the itr exhaust. I just need to know exactly what needs to be done.

i was under the impression that all u had to do to run the itr exhaust on the eg's was to have a small section of pipe removed and rewelded before the muffler and than trim the muffler's exhaust tip to fit the rear of the hatch.

keep in mind that you won't be able to run a rear swaybar if you install an itr muffler on a 92-5 civic hatch. the can is about 21" long, about 6" longer than it *should* be for this car. the piping that comes out will run straight into the endlinks for the swaybar. i measured and test fitted myself to discover this.. but, if you're not running a rear sway just trim the tip and hang it up, no prob..
