Default ITR cams in b16..again

LOL, im curious if ANYONE has seen or heard of anyone floating a valve or doing any damage from ITR cams into a stock b16 head and running the itr 8400-8500 rpm redline?

i sure havent. People go on and on about it could happen but ive never seen it. Has anyone else?

I know years ago doug from hondata revved his stock b16 to 9200 all the time and was fine. I used to rev my car to 9000 rpm when it was turbo (in 1st and 2nd gear). All was fine. Even now i dip into 8500 rpm range(Stock cams) in 1st gear sometimes and its been fine. Car has over 100k miles on it.

I want to do this swap but am too cheap/lazy to throw in the diff springs and LMA's.

Im just wondering if anyone has actually seen someone hurt something from doing this.

thanks

You won't have a problem, just don't rev it like a type-r because you have "hype-r" cams.

Nice setup IMO.

get a k series.

no really though you shouldnt have a problem unless you abuse it by reving higher than you should. ir you want a to rev like a type r buy a type r.

or you can buy springs and retainers. then your rod bolts might give out so you'd have to replace it with arp....aww...just build a motor and you can rev your heart out
