Default ITR BRAKE CONVERSION... we all know how to do the fronts, but what about the REAR?!!!

Has anyone been able to figure out how to do an itr rear disk conversion (without replacing the whole trailing arm.) everyone knows about the front, and that the 98+ crv, accord v6 and accord wagons all share the same calipers (front) as the itr but what about the rears. The rotors are 10.1” aren’t they? As opposed to the small 9.something that comes stock on most civic/integra equipped with rear disk. I just want to know if the caliper bracket is the same and all that needs to be done is transplant calipers and rotors (redrilled) and it will work fine? Or is there more to it. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Btw, I called fastbrakes uip on it at one point and they said it would be easier to use the new civic si (hatch) rear calipers on stock caliper brakets and use their 4x100 rotors. I think the only catch was to shim something out or to shave pads down. Anyone know for sure?

If I were to get an itr front brake satup on my sol, I would definitely want to upgrade the rear as well (I know that most the braking is done by the front but maybe for better balance….)

Thanks in advance

i wrecked my itr and have been building an ek recently. all you need is the hub that is bolted to the rear trailing arm. I thought i needed to bring over the rear trailing arms, but mine were bent up, and I didn't want to spend the money. If u look on the back, u'll see 4 torx bolts through the shield. Take those off, do the same to the civic, they swap right over.

So contrary to belief, you don't need the entire rear trailling arm to do a rear 5 lug conversion. If you're doing JUST the rotors, i guess you could get them redrilled.... sorry if this doesn't answer your questions, but i'm just giving you my experience with rear itr brakes/5 lug conversion. Good luck.

well, when i did my conversion, i brought over the entire spindle/hub/calipers assembly. I didn't touch the rotors, or calibers or anything. just brought over the entire assembly unbolted from the rear trailing arm. it was a good opportunity for me to change rotors, or get new calibers, but, i just want to get this thing on the road for now.

from what i know the 99-00 si and ls/gsr rear calipers are all the same as itr rear calipers the rotor itself is bigger but i dont know if theres a 4 lug as big unless you get aftermarket rotors

nope, larger

the rears on si's del sol vtec, civic si hatch and integras are all 9. something inch rotors

the integra type r is 10.1"
it seems the easiest thing to do now is use the ep3 brackets and rotors with our stock rear calipers.

i dont think just putting a larger rotor would clear the caliper backing
