Default ITR 5lug conversion in EJ6 ...will i get ABS ... i have no ABS now...also proportional valve require

I have an EJ6 with no ABS
Im getting the ITR 5 lug conversion with the ITR masterbrake booster nd SS brake lines...

Will I get ABS ... or is there something else I would have to order?
Also the shop is telling me there is no point in doing the proportional valve because its too much money in labour ... is this true? What would the proportional valve do?

EDIT: Also what are your opinions on having abs or not having abs on a summer car? not a winter driver, and also when it comes to track driving ...which is better...to have abs or not?

You can put the ABS ITR 5-lug on your car without problems. If you EJ6 is a hatchback, then you don't need a new prop valve. If you EJ6 is a coupe or sedan, you'll need a prop valve from a 96-00 hatchback or 99-00 Si. Just don't be stomping on your brakes and you'll be fine.

thank you for the reply.
My EJ6 is a 2dr coupe (1996 honda civic dx 2dr coupe)
You are saying I should have the proportional valve from the ITR? That is the one the shop says they can get but would be hard to put in or something.

Also will i have ABS or will i have to do something with my ECU and all that...doing just the conversion (Which the shop will do....) will that give me ABS?

No, prop valve from a 96-00 Civic Hatchback or 99-00 Civic Si. No, you won't have ABS.

Whats the difference between the ITR Proportional valve and the one from (96-00 Civic hatch or 99-00Si) ... will the ITR one not fit?
the ITR one is the one they say I should get, but that its just alot of work...
Also If I dont get a proportional valve...at all.... what is the dissadvantage of that?

The ITR one will not fit, only four lines. The Civic has six lines.

Dont i need to get the proportional valve from another 4 disc brake car?
Im so confused...does the 99-00 si have discs front and back...

does it really matter if i change the porportional valve that much or not, is it noticable difference in braking power?

The parts im getting are

ITR 5 lug conversion
ITR brake booster
ss brake lines

do i really require a proportional valve...or will it not really make much of a difference?

The 99-00 Si has front and rear discs, oddly enough, the hatch has the same prop valve but with drums.

The right prop valve will proportion the amount of fluid to the front and rear so it's balance in a way so that it's braking 'proportionally'. You will need it.

You can use the ITR master cylinder. It will bolt to the stock Civic brake booster and the lines will bolt to it.

So the best proportional valve for my EJ6 coupe would be the one from the 99-00 si ? Is that the one i ask them to install.. ?

You know that he answered that same question 4 times for you already. Just a thought.

Here it is again...

96-00 hatchback or 99-00 si have the same prop valve so you can use it from either car.

If the shop hasn't done anything, do it yourself. It's easy. I have a how-to thread linked in my bio.

Alright
What about the ABS then....

what would I have to get in order to have the ITR abs working in my EJ6? Is it possible?

You'll need all the related ABS stuff from a same generation Civic with ABS.

it's cool and all that you are getting the itr lug conversion, but to install the abs system too! now it'll only be a waste ot time and in your case money as well.
