Default ISB, too much play? (video)

I am swapping another trans and engine with lower miles into my oil burning 98 civic hx. I pulled the trans from the new engine to install a new clutch and rear main seal, the input shaft bearing has a lot of play in it. I never heard this engine run, so dont know if it makes noise. Seems like way to much play to me, what do you think?

This video is not my actualy car, but the play is exactly the same as this vid.

I would not trust that at all. I would just open it up and replace the bearings. Your going to be pissed if you put it in the car and it makes a bunch of noise and you have to take it right back out. Do it right the first time and you don't have to worry about it.

i just opened it up and WOW this the isb was wasted. One ball was gone and couldn't be found, both races were destroyed. There was quite a bit of shavings on the magnet inside and the carrier bearings are both noisy as well, the other bearings seemed decent. Should i just replace the carrier bearings, isb and put it back together or hope the trans in my car is better and try to salvage that? (it also has a bad isb, makes a lot of noise)
I am trying to get this engine and trans ready so i can do the swap in a day so my lady is not without her car.
