Isnt the JDM b18c the Japanese ITR motor?

The JDM b18c1 is the JDM GSR I believe

So you have the b18c1, not just the b18c.

But nice car

Nice EJ1.
Looks like a decent daily driver.

Hey how come in the first few pics you have amber corners and in the proceeding few you have clears?

Ambers are better .. just IMO.

the number of idiots in this forum just keep escalating...
Jdm motors do not have numbers after the code... IE: B16a... not B16a2
JDM "GSR" motor is stamped B18C
JDM ITR motor is stamped B18C also
how can you tell the difference? one link to prove this theory is here

or you could look at the obvious differences in the intake manifold.

thanks for the comments guys....to clear a few things up with some of the people who posted....

i have paid for every bit of my car accept i was given $1000 toward my swap from my parents for christmas, birthday and graduation all together... Ive made all car payments, paid for insurance (under parents name of course which helps) and paid for all of the mods... so yeah this thing is my pride and joy

to you other people
b18c - JDM gsr
b18c1 - USDM gsr
b18c/c5- ITR
ALSO you can tell the difference between ITR and GSR by the intake mani..the gsr looks upside down, the ITR is almost like any other b-series.

hopefully that will clear up some debate on this thread.

also.. the recent pics do have the JDM Clear corners on the car but i did just put my amber VISION (yes the real ones) back on bc i like the amber better.

keep the posts and comments coming!

Um no. As said above...JDM engines dont have numbers after the engine codes...its simply B16A, B16B, B18C etc. The JDM GSR and ITR motors both have "B18C" stamped on the engine blocks. Also, the ITR has a different manifold than other B-series...it is clearly distinguishable from the rest of them. It has a bigger plenum and larger runners. The B16A (pictured below) also has three metal flat strips on the top of its manifold.

i know jdm doesnt have a number... when did i ever say the jdm engine had a number in the code? all i said was b18c5 is ITR...no where did i say it was jdm. also i know the itr manifold isnt exactly like the other bseries. i meant it was in the same type of design meaning its not upside down looking like the gsr....***
