I don't think it would make it more unreliable, but what are you looking to do with your car? Need more info to tell if this stuff is even worth it.

Building a VTEC-E...I'm a little iffy on that. Waste of money IMO, Keep it as your commute car, start a project. Gas prices are sick! Consider swapping a vtec head on it.
I'm not hating, just telling you from experience. I tried building my DX motor awhile ago...Some engines aren't really responsive to modification. Invest your money wisely is all I am saying

i jsut put a t25 on my dx, its definetly worth it! the motor has 145,500mls. what turbo do you want for it? i dont think you need to get a valvetrain unless you get a somewhat big turbo that doesnt start making good power till the high rpm's , if anything i'd just invest in arp head studs.

Re: internals on high mileage motor (torqueless)
im not sure what turbo i want to do right now, something that isn't top of the line, cause im kind of on a budget, i just want my car to be able to hang with most of the cars around where i live. in the future i want to do a big turbo, but we'll see

Keep it stock and when you are at a light and a V8 pulls next to you just laugh at him uncontrolably because you know you get twice his gas mileage in a good day.
