Intermittent Windshield Wipers - 95 VX

Intermittent Windshield Wipers - 95 VX
Hi. I have a 1995 Honda Civic Hatchback VX. The intermittent windshield wipers do not work. There is a setting for "INT" on the switch. When I go there it doesn't work but the LOW and HIGH windshield settings work. Upon further investigation I saw somewhere it stated briefly that the VX and CX models don't have an intermittent setting. I thought that this could be why mine don't work however thought it odd that there was still a setting for it on the switch. Perhaps it's just a standard switch for all models. Does anyone know if the VX model (1995) does forsure infact not have the intermittent windshield wiper function?

I have IWs and they occasionally decide to work. So, it may just be getting old and failing like mine.
If you have those wires Ron posted, then try another ICU.

I am thinking that the VX and CX don't come with the intermittent function. I found this though if anyone is looking to add the intermittent function...

I am trying to figure out... the integrated control unit is simply the box on the back that is part of the fuse box panel right?
ICU's themselves I see running upwards of $75 while I am finding entire fuse box panels for $20...
A complete fuse box panel would include the entire ICU right?

I'm guessing the wiper combo switch was replaced. Go to junkyard, get an ICU from any 92-95 Civic that isn't a CX or VX. Should be about $10. But, before you do, read my DIY on adding a lights-on indicator, which uses an ICU from an Integra. Alternatively, you can use any 96-00 Civic ICU. Anyway, link in sig.

The ICU is part of the fuse box panel right? So if I got a complete fuse box panel (this is mainly all I am finding on ebay hard to find solely ICU's) that would include the entire ICU right?

Thanks a lot for the link to the DIY lights-on indicator. I will definitely do that. Can't tell you how many times I left my lights on on my previous car, 94 civic coupe!
