Interior upper trim removal?
Hi. I am gutting my 93 del Sol S. Just bought it and the previous owner was a freaking slob. The car stunk and was filthy. I dropped most of the interior off at a detailer save the upper rear trim panels and the dash. I got the upper left and right panels removed (the panels the seat belt goes through) but I can't get the wide panel across the top that has the dome light. I popped out the left and right sides, but it feels like something is holding it in the middle. I removed the dome light cover and saw a screw in the back center. Removed that, but still no dice.
Is it just friction fit or is there a screw somewhere I need to find? I already cracked the passenger upper trim removing that, so I am afraid to put too much pressure on this and have yet another panel to replace. Thanks.

the center trim piece with the dome light is just held on by clips. its held in there good though. I ended up rolling down the rear window and running a long flat screwdriver in there to pry down as I couldn't get a good grip on the trim to pull it down. heres a write up on it

be thankful your steering wheel wasn't covered in makeup like mine was. I used some Simple Green and the residue was super nasty. Of course, I eventually replaced it with a PERSONAL steering wheel. lol

Ugh, that sounds nasty. It boggles my mind to think how some people can be so disgusting to their cars. I mean, yea, not everyone is a "car guy" or "car girl" but even if I just viewed it as an A<->B appliance, I still would keep it reasonably clean.
