Interior stripping related....
Does the metal bar that the back seats bolt to serve any other purpose other than that? It is the one that runs all the way across the car and is not painted. This is a 97 civic ex coupe.

From what I hear- it is very heavy for a support brace. Both EK guys I know pulled it out. But no telling if it actually does help with stiffening.
