Interior questions for a 98 Civic
Hey all, I am in the process of trying to get my civic looking decent. The person i bought it from beat the hell out of it, I only paid $500 for it and believe me it looks as though i paid $400 too much. Anyways i want to kind of replicate the interior of a VW Jetta/Passat, they make a tan and black interior which looks really nice. Now i was looking and i can find plenty of tan but no black parts. So i guess my question is do they make pure black pieces or just gray? also what years can i use for my interior? which seats can i use? and last did they make oem leather seats for a civic my year? i don't like racing seats. Any help is greatly appreciated. also i'm a noob when it comes to honda's, i see alot of abbrevations which abb. is for my car? thanks.

sem color coat laquer spray cans there made for inter. of cars you can use it on anything including the seats just clean everything realy good and put it on in lite coats all pastic parts it's good to clean with a wax and grease remover a couple of times before apply
SEM = company
Color Coat = type
it works nice i did my seats with it they were tan from and integra now there gray the fabric was a little hard at first but if you let it dry for a day or so and take a hair brush to them they soften right back up - and the pastic on the sides of the seat look like the oem plastic it's not to shinny or to flat

I dont think civics came with BLACK interior, but "type k" interior is a very dark grey.
as for the car abbreviations, im assuming you mean "eg, ek, ej6" etc.
These are all codes on your vin number, eg and ek are codes on the civics made in europe and japan, eg = 92-95 civics, and ek = 96-00 civics. The codes that are actually found on our vin numbers are the other ones, ej6, etc. Your car is an ek, and I believe it is an ej6, but you can check that on your vin number on your dash.

Only certain JDM/EDM EK4's and EK9's came with black interior for the 6th gen, and some Si's and EX's came with black interior for the USDM 5th Gens.

Are you looking for a black leather seat? If so, just swap in an Integra GSR seat. You just have to swap the interior (seatbelt buckle side) rail from your stock seats, and they'll bolt right in.

Not the rear. The fronts. For the rears, you need black leather GSR 4-door rear seats

What Eran has said is correct. If anyone would like to have information on a certain VIN (that means Vehicle Identification Number - so you don't have to say number after it) just PM me.

No, those ones won't work. You need sedan rear seats.
