i have a 93 civic hatch and i want to swap the interior parts, to black parts, the dash door panels and etc... my question is, is it possible to paint some of the plastic parts? like the door handle, trunk latch, gas latch ashtray glove box... and if it is possible what kind of paint should i use? and do i need to primer them first? suggestions please!!

Re: interior paint (gerard92692)
yeah, you can paint them but ut would be much better/easier if you went to a junkyard, found a hatch and pulled pieces from it... just go to the junkyard every weekend hatches come in all the time... and stuff is dirt cheap
if you're gonna paint it, yeah you would need to primer it I would guess...

Re: interior paint (JDMTurboEG6)
If you decide to paint it you could use paint specifically designed for interior parts. All the parts stores should carry it. As for primer my friend did some panels without primer and they came out great. Just remember alot of thin coats, and let them dry in between.

I can tell you what NOT to do. Don't waste money by getting them painted at a body shop. Back in my younger days, I had an Eclipse that was painted Imola Orange Pearl off the JDM NSX. I had the shop paint the interior trimmings and they just sprayed them the same way they did the car. Although they looked great at first, they eventually started chipping like crazy. DIY the right way. It shouldn't be too difficult...
