That's what happens when you remove the stock radio. There should be a way to bypass it, but I can't quite remember how. You can also hide your stock radio behind the dash.
Oh, your keyless (if you have it) will stop working when you remove your stock radio too.

Use one of these...lets you splice in the original radio and leave it stashed behind the dash w/o speakers hooked to it but maintains the circuits for your keyless and dome light.

I ran into this issue too. For the longest time i thought it was because of the fuse (only to find that there isnt one ) . Anyone know a way to bypass it without having to splice into the original radio?

See my above post, you can make it easy to keep the original one w/o splicing. If you really don't want to have it behind the dash the only thing I can think of is to use diagrams to trace out which wires are for light/keyless, locate the pins on back of the radio that correspond to those wires, tear open the radio and trace out the circuits and see what is involved. It may be a simple relay, or just a ground loop, etc... that you can recreate in your radio adapter harness and just tape up.
