Interior Color difference between an Si and a DX...

does anyone know if there's a difference in the color of the plastic pieces in the interior? I'm thinking of purchasing the plastic that goes around the shifter and holds the cupholder and pocket but i wasn't sure if both colors were the same. I have a 98 civic dx with medium gray plastic and the guy says his 00' si plastic is grey also....just wanted to make sure both were the same color before i made the purchase...any help would be appreciated. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...es/emsmile.gif

Have you checked your interior color code yet? It's in your driver's door. It will be near the door latch if you have a coupe or hatch, and near the bottom of the driver's door corner (along the same jamb as the latch is) if it's a sedan.

If it's Type K colored interior, there is no difference. The Si does not come in an exclusive interior color.

there a slight shade off i think the dx is a bit darker and the material that goes on top of the arm rest is different, it's suppose to match your seats i have a friend who put in a arm rest in and the other piece around the shifter and it's a shade different cant remember exactly which one is darker he put a 98 si (Canadian) arm rest in his 98 dx

The car you're referring to must have had a light gray interior. Many other cars besides the Si have dark gray interiors. Hell, my '98 EX coupe has a dark gray interior even. And yes, it's stock. Just like my '97 EX coupe had and Eran's '97 CX hatch.

So, no, it's not necessarily going to be a shade off.

Well, I'll put it this way... I haven't been able to set up a chart of what interior color matches to what exterior color because dark and light gray look too close to the same in photos unless you have a comparison against the other color.

If you were to put dark gray parts into a light gray interior car, you will definitely be able to tell.
