Interior Carpet
Hey all,
Have a 92 Civic LX sedan and the body has a little over 230,000 miles on it. The previous owner (my friend) didn't take care of the interior to well. The carpet is trashed. Where is a good place to get replacement carpet and even the trunk carpet as well? I looked on ebay but wasnt sure on the quality and if those prices were any good.
Any input?

Re: Interior Carpet
no no no, never buy aftermarket, unless it's like for a hot rod old car with easy floor plans.
find you some used carpet that's still in great shape.

you'll have to ask craigslist ppl to ship. you should have paypal.
if not... buy one on ebay sooner or later there will be a nicer one,
also, to make it easy on ebay, get paypal.
go to paypal.com sign up... add bank accoun...etc..
good luck.
and don't buy aftermarket crap. you'll have to cut out the holes and mold it yourself.
it will look like this HAHA

Re: Interior Carpet
dude, think outside the box.
That's not my carpet. I didn't buy it,
Aftermarket carpets are sold on Ebay.
thats a pic of someone who bought aftermarket/ebay carpet and look at it.
what do you own a aftermarket carpet business or something dude?
do a search on aftermarket carpet for a honda,
I have: you'll find it's loose, baggy, not molded very well, holes arent cut,
and on and on and on.

Re: Interior Carpet
Well with all that being said i think i may just make a day of it and pull the carpet out and give it a good clean. My brother works for a mold water and fire restoration company and has access to commercial steam carpet cleaners and such. Ill try the free route first and see how it turns out.
Thanks for the input guys

do better research. and don't research ebay. its no place for things like this.
god forbid you have to cut a few holes.
and no i don't own a carpet company. if i did i'd have pm'ed him with a deal. trying to be helpful without just saying hey go to a junkyard and hope.
use less dudes.
OP. if your carpet isn't that dirty your plan should work out pretty well.

Re: Interior Carpet
What color is the carpet?
Take it out and spray massive amounts of carpet cleaning foam in it then pressure wash it out...don't get too close the pressure can cut the carpet lol...
I've seen the nastiest carpets...even tan...go from a dingy brown and black to almost factory color just from carpet foam and a pressure wash...to repair holes sometimes you can cut small pieces from a spot that doesn't show...for example overlap that goes under the center console or where it goes under other panels and whatnot....and then cut the hole to shape...place it...put some carpet joining tape on the back and extra adhesive and if you're good it can be almost seemless.
