Default Integra vs Civic Ex calipers

I know the rotors are the same size but I've been surfing through all the FAQ and stuff on this site and no one seems to know ( definitively ) if the integra calipers are the same or bigger than the Civic Ex ones. Anyone want to chime in for a definitive answer?

? I've heard some people say the Integra calipers are bigger but I've never heard anyone say the Ex ones were better, only the same as the Integras.

EX 4dr calipers have a bigger piston then the EX coupe.
went through some hoops this past weekend changing brakes...

92 Vx with EX hubs...when to change the brakes (pads /rotors)
got new calipers from advanced... EX 4drs.
compared them to the 2dr coupes & they have bigger pistons.
so current setup is EX/teg rotors (brembo blanks) EX caliper brackets with Brembo pads & EX 4dr calipers.

so far it seems really good.

Just go with the parts you can match. You don't want to have all mismatched parts and then try to remember which is which.

Neither one is going to make that much of a difference

it will if your changing all 4 corners and upsize the m/c., and if your going from a dx set up like mine.

on the flip side, which is my problem, can you leave a dx (del Sol S) stock forks and control arms and simply swap out the rotors and calipers with a teg (nonITR). this is the last thing I gotta do. Already swapped teg rear discs on, and that took the entire sub assy. The brake booster and MS went on like a charm after I bent the lines to fit. Really hope this is feasible.

The 94-01 Integra calipers all use the same size caliper, and the 96-00 civics use the integra caliper, and one that honda has, for both 4 door and 2 door models, It seems that the plant in West Liberty used old stock on some newer civics, namely the late year 99's and 2000 model civics, LX trim and above, that used the bigger (and older) integra calipers, I fould this out after I had to change wheel bearings, and non ABS bearings for my year civic (2000) didnt fit, I was wierded out by it, but I got some additional information from a retired military man that worked at the Liberty plant for a while, and knew some of the ups and downs with parts, it seems they used integra knuckles on my 00 Civic EX coupe, non ABS, as the VIN states, but only ABS bearings from any 94-01 Integra will fit them. the only way to know is by the part casting, since it affected many later model 99-00 civics, it is uncertain which ones ended up where.
