Icon2 Integra Type R destroyed! & Immobilizer Question

First of all a close friend of mine recently totaled his '01 Type R, and the guy at the junkyard is selling us the car back, what is left. I have been reading about swapping this motor into an EK and have read that either swapping the ecu out for the jdm one, having the immobilizer removed, or converting to a diff obd is the easiest way to get around the immobilizer found on 99-01 integra ecus. My question is since we will have the entire car at our disposal is it possible to swap the integra ignition and necessary components to use this ecu in an ek with the immobilizer still working and using the integra key to start the ek.

Thanks in advance for any info
by the way this is the most f@!#$d up integra type R you'll ever see

What year is the ek hatch?
If it's a 96-98 that ecu wont fit anyways and you'll need an obd2a ecu

or you can run a 99-2000 em1 p2t ecu which has no immobilizer

he could always re-pin the plugs at the ecu, use a conversion harness, or use 99-00 si/ex underdash/engine harness.

regarding the immobilizer, i dont know.

the car is a 97 ek hatch and I was planning on using an obd2a-b jumper harness, I've heard the p2t will not run this motor right is that incorrect?

CORRECT.
either run the ecu that came in the type r (im not sure what it is.) or run a obd2a->obd1 conversion harness and get a tuned obd1 ecu (like a p30 or p28)

EDIT:: did a google search stock ecu is a P73

you cant simply repin the wires at the ecu as the plugs simply wont fit in between obd2a and obd2b.
and you cant use a 99-2000 underdash or wiring harness in a 96-98 you'll have to hack up your entire wiring

with the money you spend on a quality conversion harness ($150) plus getting the immobilizer removed ($50-100) you can buy an obd2a type r ecu
plus remember you have your current type r ecu you can sell for $150 and buy another obd2a for about the same and you don't have any unnecessary conversions/money thrown away

my problem is not connecting the ecu I am using a 97 dx harness which has already been wired for b-series and obd2a-b jumper harness, the problem is that even with everything connected correctly the immobilizer still poses a problem. I dont plan on paying to have the immobilizer removed if I can utilize it in my vehicle that is why I'm trying to figure out if it can be done.

**and I could use a 99-00 Si harness I would just have to wire the speedo and tach no cutting of harness required.

having experience from doing this.. i KNOW that you can use a 99-00 underdash harness (you just need to use it in conjunction with a 99-00 engine harness). and the only wires i had to "hack up" was for the dome light, because its a 4pin plug instead of 2.

and you can 'simply' repin the wires at the ecu, you just need to pick up a plug for slot D as it is used instead of plug B on 99-00 OBD2b civics. (which getting a plug takes about two seconds at a junkyard..)
