Default integra air intake on a d series engine...

i heard somewhere that you can put a AEM Intake for a Teg on a D series engine. Is this true? J/W, cause isnt the intake bigger for the B series engine? I figure it wont be a bolt up thing if it does work, but how much needs to be done to make it work.

I took the AEM CAI from my '01 Integra, cut it in half to short ram style, and it fit perfectly on my '95 Civic (D16z6). Worked like a charm.

yup thats pretty much it, but.....if you get the brand name ones(aem, injen etc.) its not 100% that the mounting brackets will line up.

I suggest you just BUY a NEW short ram from ebay for 12 bucks, and slap on a K& N filter. It's like saying I dont want to buy new springs so imma cut my OEM springs to loer my car. GHETTO!!!

A cold air will fit but I wont go through the little hole in the frame like the SOHC ones do. The b-series cold airs come down in front of the radiator fan. You might have to adjust the over fill can cause the cold air rubs on it. My friend put one in his 95 Coupe when another friend of ours blew his 01 Integra and gave it to him.

and the 12 dollar ebay intake is not ghetto???
And i am not talking about cutting and fabricating, just wondered how easy it would be to hook up since the Teg intake is bigger.

LMAO, are you DUMB?? man you are buying something "MADE" for you car and not another car. Dude just buy something that is made to the spec of your car, its not that hard. So i am guessing taht you are gonna go out and buy springs made for a Teg and slap it on your ride too? man, if you are gonna get into the car scene, do it right! Be a racer not a "ricer".

so how the hell is putting a bigger intake on your car being a damn ricer? I read a post somewhere where a guy put a integra intake on his civic engine, and it made better power, and was just wondering how easy it was. Dont post and be a *** if you dont have something worth reading.

neway i got a AEM V2 intake the other day. (one made for my hatch)
