Default intake swap question

hey my buddy has a 96 hx coupe with a stock d15y5 in it. i was wondering if it is possible to swap the the intake manifold for one out of a d16a6? i just want to know if it would bolt in, and if there would even be a power increase? thanks

if the following is incorrect, someone please correct it so the OP gets what he needs:

i dont think a 96 HX came with a D15Y5. if im not mistaken they come with a D16Y5. i mean, you probably just made a typo, but try to get your info correct so that you can be helped more easily.

anyway, i think it may be able to fit since its from a D-series going onto a D-series, but that doesnt necessarily mean that it is a perfect swap. the IACV connectors maybe different, etc.

wiring should be the same. any hp difference would be minimal

theyr pretty much the same, which means if you do gain any power at all, you wont even be able to feel the difference. id say just leave the stock one on it and save yourselves the work swapping them.
