Intake Manifold/Vacuum/Idle question
So I looked at a 97 Civic LX (manual) today to maybe buy, but one thing scared me off. When I came to complete stops the RPM hand dropped all the way to zero every now then & the other times I stopped & the RPM hand was a 1/2 (normal). It didn't die, or jump up & down like the idle was off, but at 1st I thought it died but it was just REALLY quite (Hybrid-ish) Never jumped back up to 1/2 I was able to accel from 0 RPM's w/ out hesitations. I was thinking a vacuum hose or gasket, but I put my hand around the manifold area & didn't feel any air but I was told to check it you need to but some carb cleaner to see the air coming out.
Any thoughts?

Maybe the IACV and possibly PCV valve just need some cleaning.
The coolant might also be low or the cooling system needs to be bled of possible trapped air.
