Default Intake Manifold and Throttle Body

What is the best Intake Manifold and Throttle body that I can fit on my d16z6. Wether it is aftermarket or just one from another honda engine. Your input would be appreciated, thanks...

ah, if you pick up a b-series t/b, make sure the map sensors are in place and it's around the same year. b'cuz i got a t/b for free from an earlier b-series non obd-1 and my map sensor had nowhere to plug into. i had vacuum probs and was throw codes like crazy.. i dunno if this was very helpful. atleast i didnt pay for the t/b..its a great paper weight now.. hehe

You can just plug your map sensor that you have already in the car. Just plug the MAP sensor in where the nonOBD MAP sensor plugged into. You could use a ITR t/b and a y8 manifold, that would be awesome.

Is all that stuff bolt on? or does it require modifications?

What kind of difference will I see with this stuff on?

well i just did a post on this a few days ago and I was told that you will only gain throttle response unless you have fi or a lot of head work done. Also, if you use a Bseries throttle body you have to port match that to the intake manifold. That is where you make the hole on the intake mani the same size as the throttle body. Ya heard?!

really? i thought the gsr TBs were 58mm but i can't really remember, isn't there some modifacation needed to get the throttle cable to operate the throttle rotor correctly? something about how the d and b series rotate differently?

I know as a fact the gsr tb is 60mm. I havn't heard about throttle cable problems,

but i guess we'll see next week when i do it.

But ya, if anyone has experience with this and had a throttle prob lemme know.

I was waiting for the shunk2 intake mani to come out for the D-series but its taking forever. I have access to a Y8 intake manifold just need the GSR throttle body. If anyone has a spare feel free to shoot me an PM. Thanks.
