Default Intake Manifold question

I replaced my IM gasket today, I have a mini-me d15b7/d16y8 head.. with z6 intake manifold, LS throttle body. Everything was working fine before.
Now, it starts up revs to 4k then drops to 1k then 4k again and back... sounds like a sensor problem to me but I can't pin it down to which one... anyone have any idea what might be wrong?

sounds like a problem with your IACV (idle air control valve), you may need to replace it

its not exactly a sensor or wire its a little short thin valve sticking out of the back of the intake mani i dont think it can be shorted out

lol I know for a fact that you have an intake manifold leak, there's a way to find out for sure and loc. it, first take off your intake pipe, and then with the car on. cover the TB(throttle body) with your and, (it mite try to suck your hand in, but use your palm, also it will start to hurt after a while but it won't kill you) and if the car turns off, then your don't have a leak, but if your car keeps on running, that means there's a leak and you will be able to hear where it's cumming from, (that's the only place it will be able to suck the air), after that, then just replace the gasket that's leaking, also it's a good thing to scrap off ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! of the old gasket, or it will cause it to leak. good luck

I had that problem with my throttle body, cause it would idle high then go down and back and forth and come to find out I took it to get fixed, it was my gasket between the throttle body and intake manifold. Hope that helps.
