intake manifold hose???? helppp asap

Default intake manifold hose???? helppp asap

hello i have a 97 coupe auto .. there are 2 black hoses that come off the each side of teh intake manifold. one is connected which i think is the vacumn line but there is one that is loose.. is it suppose to be conected to anything..????????????????

my car has no cruise control tho.. so its just a hose that lays there basically or what?not connected to anything

Well one should be connected to your valve cover. I hope that's not the one you're talking about.

It's what maintains even cylinder head pressure.

you can pull it, if it was there for the cruis control then honda just leaves it disconneveted they all use the same manifold

id use it for a boost guage install

As long as you have a hose going from your FPR on your fuel rail to the manifold, that appears to be the cruise control diaphragm hose.

If everything else is fine, take the hose off, and cap it.

ok that is what i wnated to know. because i gave neve rherd of honda just leaving a hose hangiong haha. and no its not my vacum line. that is on da passanger side. this one just danggles

so why did honda put a hose on it and not cap it themselfs? since some have cruise control and some dont?i just think its weird they have a hose just hangig there..?

i had 1 more question. how do u take off da maint. reg'ed light.. i know how on my 04 civic but not the older ones.
