Intake leak after putting new gasket in.
Has anyone had this problem. i changed my intake manifold to the oem snailshell one for the gsr. i put a new gasket on and cleaned the head of the left over material from the old manifold. i put the new gasket in and tightened the intake manifold bolts but it still seems to have a leak. i sprayed some carb cleaner where the intake manifold and head meet and it seems it leaks at cylinder 3 and 4 the most. which may or may not attribute to my lower compression readings (148 and 145 ) while 1 and 2 are in the 210-215 range.

what gasket did you use, and did you use the right pattern when tightening the bolts. i have seen people using the hodata gaskets crack the IM as the stock studs are to short.

i had a problem like this. i had to double gasket it. i just went and bought thermal gasket and a regular gasket. once i used them both they sealed right up. and ya torque sequence may play a part also.
