Default INTAKE D16Y7

I bought an intake, cheap one im not interested in hookin this motor up, but anyway its a cold air, so its going under. It is not exactly fittin right. This motor has the rubber black box instead of a nice intake mannifold. but yeah i just ran it from there but im having difficulties puttin it in, anyone has got some good instalation procedures?

Take the black box off. Are you talking about the stock intake? You need to take the black rubber box and hose off first if that's what you're talking about.

Did you just get the filter, or did you get the tubing as well?

If you got all of is, then the tubing will replace the stock box. Also, are you sure you got the right one for your motor?

No.

Well, probably, but there would be no reason not to.

Pop off the airbox, pull the stock tube from off the intake manifold, stick the intake on. Its like first grade math.

you have a y7 correct???, if so you throttle body is sticking up towards the hood, and your photo with the intake is for like a y8, or even a b, so if the one in the photo is like yours, you got the wrong photo, but you could try to rig it to your black box atop the manifold, if it fits, be sure to take out the filter in the airbox, to let up some ponies, if you even get any from the cheapo intake

well i was able to put it in there, although it was alot of trouble, i didnt remove the ugly black box, but i did take out the filter that was in there. im not too worried about spending lots of money on this engine since i plan to save up for a b18c5, my final goal. then i can hopefully start hookin up the accord '03 two door. thanks for you imput
